About the game

In one sentence: pixelwar is a free online territory conquest game that runs in the browser on computers, tablets and phones, with no download.

Every player starts from one spot on the map and grows by taking unclaimed land, then by attacking the neighbours. Captured land raises income and the troop ceiling, and the reserve earns interest, so every attack is a choice between growing now and staying strong enough to defend. Boats carry troops across water to other coasts. Allies cannot attack each other, share the victory and can send each other troops. A match has no time limit: it ends when no enemy side remains, or when a peace vote gives the win to the leading side or calls a draw.

Territory conquest in real time on maps drawn from real data: the World and Europe from public-domain Natural Earth data, Mars from NASA elevation data, and a spiral galaxy.
Multiplayer free-for-all and team matches, plus single player against bots and a guided tutorial that teaches the controls.
Alliances and peace votes: allies share the win and can donate troops, and a long match can end by vote with victory for the leading side or a draw.
Clans with clan chat, a party queue for multiplayer and a clan leaderboard.
55 ranks, from Recruit to Pixel Legend, earned from multiplayer wins. A loss never takes points away, and badges mark achievements.
Your own flag: pick one in the lobby and it flies on your battle fronts.
