pixelwar is a free browser game at pixelwar.io. This policy explains what personal data the game and this website process, why, and what you can do about it. If you play pixelwar on another website, that site’s own privacy policy also applies to its pages.
What we collect
- Account data, if you create an account: your username, your password (stored only as a secure hash), an email address if you add one, and the profile choices you make, such as your flag. If you sign in with Discord, we also receive your Discord user ID, name, profile picture and the email address of that Discord account.
- Game data: your matches, results, rank, badges, progress, clan membership and chat messages.
- Connection data: like every website, the game’s servers log your IP address and basic browser information.
Why
- To run the game and its multiplayer matches, and to keep your account and progress.
- To keep the game fair and safe: preventing cheating, spam and abuse, and moderating chat.
- To fix problems and improve the game, using statistics.
What other players see
Your username, flag, rank, badges and clan are visible to other players, and your chat messages to everyone who can read that chat.
Your browser
The game keeps your sign-in session, your settings and an identifier for this browser in local storage, so you stay signed in and your progress and settings are remembered. To count visits and see which pages are used, this website uses Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies; Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. pixelwar uses no advertising cookies.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data, and pixelwar itself shows no ads. Data is shared only with the services that host and run the game, with Google Analytics as described above, or when the law requires it. Chat GIFs and some profile pictures load from third-party services (GIF providers, Discord), which receive standard connection data when they are shown.
How long
Data is kept only as long as these purposes need it. Account data is kept until the account is deleted.
Your rights
To access, correct or delete your data, or to object to how it is used, write to pixelwar.official@gmail.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
