Thronelands
A fantasy map of two continents: a tall one in the west and a wide one in the east, divided by a narrow sea, with island chains in the far north and the south. A little over a third of the map is land, and the sea between the continents shapes every match. Conquer it online: free in the browser, with no download.

The geography
The western continent runs north to south down the left of the map. The eastern one stretches across the rest, its coast broken by gulfs and peninsulas. A large island sits in the sea between them, and smaller islands line the northern and southern edges of the map.
How a match plays
Each continent fights its own land war first. The sea between them is narrow enough to cross by boat, so a coast that looks safe can become a landing point at any time. Crossing in strength is how the leader of one continent reaches the other — and how a match that looked settled on one side can turn.
Tips for Thronelands
- Grow first, sail second. Start with enough connected land to expand before you think about the other continent.
- Watch the narrow crossings. They are where boats from the other side land first.
- Islands are quiet but cut off. Nobody can attack them by land, and you cannot grow from them until you can sail.
- Keep the coast manned. A boat carries troops away from your reserve, so the coast you leave behind needs defenders of its own.
Other maps
- Europe — mostly connected land, with the great rivers as water.
- World — Earth's continents, where boats decide who reaches the next one.
- Mars with Water — one vast landmass beside a northern ocean.
- Milky Way — a spiral galaxy with no boats at all.
